Brad Brooks-Rubin says that he sometimes feels ‘like a one-man multi-stakeholder initiative’, reflecting a career that has seen him bring his legal skills to bear in government (at both the departments of State and the Treasury), in an industry association (the Gemologicial Institute of America), in private legal practice (at LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & Macrae and Holland & Hart), and now for the Enough Project, where he is managing director of an advocacy group that seeks to use sanctions tools in a way that is pretty much unique, and in a part of the world – subSaharan Africa – the conflicts of which are too often misunderstood or ignored…
